Watching Cedar Waxwings

Cedar Waxwings are social birds, much like the crowds that stroll along Penn Ave. With the help of Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center, this native bird seemed the perfect inspiration for a mural.

About the Project

Edwards Business Systems hosts a mural on their main building, and was again open to another mural on their propoerty. After speaking with the staff at Nolde Forest EEC, a flock of Cedar Waxwings seemed like good inspiration for the wide expanse of this site. The stylized forest background was painted by the Public Art workshop students and staff of Wyomissing Area School District and the mural was also a featured activity at an education conference at Lebenon Valley College. Look closely to find the birdwatcher in this mural.
